NEVADA SNOW

I thought I would post a snowy picture of one of the Wilhelm boys playing in their snowy backyard winterland playground.  We still have some snow here, but we got up to 55 today and some serious melting.  Now they are talking 4 or 5 inches of snow early this week and then another warmup.  We were saddened by Edna's plight and having to be relocated to an assisted living facility.  She was not a happy camper, as they say.  Hopefully she will settle in and like the comforts of assisted living.

Jess: Did you just get that snow today? Looks beautiful & fun!

I'm dreading more ice & snow tonight. I'm afraid school will be late or cancelled. I've missed the last week of work and just hate to miss another day.

I'm so sad for Edna & her family. Has to be so tough on everyone. I'm glad Grandma was there to help her a little.

Tomorrow is Doug's birthday! I'm surprising him with donuts & balloons at work. His students will LOVE it! (I hope he doesn't read this blog tonight)

Yea, we made the blog!! They boys really love the snow, as for me--I would like Spring weather!! I think they said another storm is coming in, in the next few days. Keep warm! Happy Birthday to Doug!! Jess

Our snow last week was short lived. We are having a nice sunny day today.

Brooke went back to school today after being out all last week but I got a call a little while ago that I needed to go pick her up that she wan't feeling good so she's back to laying on the couch.

Marc has a concert at school tonight. He plays the trumpet. We will see how it goes. He doen't like to practice enough.

Happy Birthday Doug!!!

Jessica, jthe boys looked like they were having a great time in the snow. Tyson is getting so big. Who does he look like?

Well mom and Amber say Tyson looks like me, but I don't see it. I think he looks exactly like Kaleb as a new born, but now changing into Brock, but more than anything he looks like Tyson! HAHA!! I still say they all are Eric's mini-me's!! He is getting too big too fast.

Our snow is finally starting to melt down, but not gone...

Jess - your snow really looked inviting (especially if one is under 6 years of age).

It sounds like Doug had a very good birthday. How many students were in the class? Didn't you send a singing telegram to his class one year?

I received a thank you from John (aka Jackie) Steinmetz thanking us for the card and letter we sent after his mother died. I had said I would have liked to see a picture of the "kids" (his brothers & sisters). He said he would try to send me one. He said our mother has been very kind to his family.

One year on Valentines Day, I sent a quartet to serenade Doug in front of his Psychology 101 class (250 students). They LOVED it! Doug was so embarassed...but secretly loved it! He called me from the front of class...with the students all listening. They were all just roaring with laughter! They wanted to ALL come serenade me across campus...but Doug thought that might get out of hand. That would have been crazy!

The donuts & balloons were just in the Honors Lounge. So...all 350 students were able to wish him a happy birthday. But only 36 were able to enjoy a donut! :)
