ANDREW PETERSON CONCERT AT UNION COLLEGE

Last night we drove down to Lincoln to the Andrew Peterson Concert at Union College.  Andrew was a little under the weather, but gave another wonderful concert with Ben Shive and Andy Gullihorn.  The concert was at 7:30 and we got back home a little after Midnight.  It was worth the trip, though we are a little tired.

The 2nd picture is the awesome organ pipes at the Union College church where they host their concerts. Union College is affiliated with The Seventh Day Adventists and have always been very welcoming hosts for Andrew. We have been to several of his concerts there.

Ben, if you are ever in the New Jersey area, let me know I would love to go one of your concerts.

I bet it was nice to see Ben!

We have had great weather--I shouldn't say it out loud, but I have to!! It was just really nice to see the sun and go out to play! We went for a walk yesterday, the boys rode thier scooters. I tried it myself today with the boys--I think I will always need Eric's help while they are this little! They are too fast for me--I was running behind them pushing the stroller! They said it will be 62 tomorrow, but 47 on Wednesday!! Nice again this weekend!

Hope everyone is doing well! Take care, Jess

THANKS so much for posting pictures! I hoped you would. I was so sad to have missed the concert last night...and was thinking about Mom, Dad & Ben all night! My heart was with you all! We're certainly looking forward to the Omaha show in March.

Roberta: You would LOVE the show! I hope they catch on out there so you can enjoy the experience. It's so fun to have a personal connection to live entertainers.

Man...it's been snowing here all day. We probably have 4 inches on the ground now and its still coming down. Gray & I shoveled after school.

Maggie joined the chess club. Her first meeting was tonight after school. She had fun. 3 girls & 15 boys! YOU GO, GIRL!!! I told her there's nothing that I like more than a SMART GIRL! :)

OH...in case you're interested...Ben added to his Blog. He is such a creative writer. I think you would enjoy reading his thoughts. You can find his blog at: http://benshive.com/

See ya! Stay warm! Is it still warm in NJ & TN? You lucky dogs!

Roberta, maybe you could plan a trip to Indiana for one of these weekends. Of course, there is not much time until the 17th of February.

I am just checking to see if I can send under a nickname. I haven't had much success sending a comment from my work.

You all are so wonderful! I was just thinking right before the plane landed in Lincoln about all the support you guys have shown me and all the ways you've taken care of me and my family out over the years. It kind of blew me away. I couldn't have married into a better bunch of people! Thank you for coming, Brian and Rose Ann. And Sara, I'm thankful that you're the kind of sister-in-law who would actually be sad to miss one of my shows. I don't take any of this for granted and I want to make sure you know how much it means to me.

I think I can make the one in March. I will ask CJ and Ashley if they would like to go also! This is great!

Have the Freeland girls decided when they will be heading to Indiana??

Rose Ann - I just type my name in Nickname.

Thanks for the recipes!

The 3 of us could not come up with a good date that fit all of us. So we are on hold.

I AM THINKING OF THE FIRST WEEK-END IN MAY SINCE WE COULDN'T COME UP WITH A WEEK-END THAT WAS GOOD FOR ALL OF US, I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO MAKE THE TRIP BY MYSELF.

BARB, ARE YOU GOING TO SEE IF MOM WANTS TO GO WITH YOU TO BEN'S CONCERT IN MAY?

SARA, THANKS FOR THE RECIPES. I THINK I WILL MAKE THE PASTA BAKE TOMORROW.

IT HAS BEEN SNOWING HERE TODAY AND NOW IT IS FREEZING RAIN. GLAD THAT I DON'T HAVE TO GO OUT TONIGHT.

the pasta bake is good...but makes a RIDICULOUS amount!!! Next time, I would definitely cut the recipe in half. But...it was good and will be good for lunch tomorrow. Now...my kids didn't like it, but that's not a big surprise! :)

I'm making the italian beef sandwiches tomorrow. My friend says they're AMAZING! I'll let you know.

Sorry you're getting freezing rain, Roberta. YUCK! We're supposed to get more snow tomorrow. We have so much snow piled up, I can hardly toss it from the driveway on top of the piles. It's killing my back! School started an hour late this morning...which was kinda a treat!

Bath Time!!! (For Gertie...not me!)
