DAY 14

The good news is that Allen did not vanish.  He did a lot of trim work today and got the new door installed and put in the hardware for the 2nd railing going upstairs.  Tomorrow he should get back to varnishing, not vanishing.  Ha.
Today we made a quick trip to Omaha for a retirement party for a friend of ours in the Family Life Office, Mary Jo Pederson.  We worked in a training session on our iMac at the Apple Store.  We shared driving and got back home at around 8:30 tonight and we just got back from our Holy Hour at Sacred Heart tonight from 10 to 11.  Kind of late, but is it good for us.
I thought I posted this, but it did not post, so here I go again.  It is cold here, currently 1 degree.  Sure is great to have a warm home.

Brian, did you tell poor Allen that we were all concerned about him vanishing?

The stairs look great.

Off to the gym. I have been slacking and decided that the slack time is over.

You go, Girl!!! What do you do at the gym?

I'm still giggling about Allen's vanishing act!

I got that carrot cake recipe...should I include it here or email it to you all?

Sara, for the recipe which ever is easier for you.

I love this Blog. Keeps me up to date on everybody that leaves comments.

Yesterday at the gym I did the tread mill and then did the weight machines. I am so sore today but going to go back.

We would all love to get the Carrot Cake recipe one way or the other. I went to the YMCA a couple of times this week and have an appointment this morning to learn to use some of the equipment and to get a plan for my physical fitness. I am concerned about balance and flexibility and strength.
I sent a note to Fr. Dave that we needed a new parish directory and would be available to help. I am now on an ad hoc committee with Fr. Walter and some others for a new directory project. Sara, did your church ever do a directory?

I really like the treadmill, but I don't belong to a gym now. I just walk outside (or in the Dome when its too cold & slippery outside). We don't have room for a treadmill, but I've always wondered if I would use one if I had it.

Dad: better be careful what kind of suggestions you make around town...you'll find yourself on a LOT of ad hoc committees!!! We do a directory at our church, and its a time for a new one. That's something that I would have organized, if I had stayed at the church. I can't imagine the endeavor it will be at St. Mary's. You have such a HUGE congregation!!! WOW! It will be a big book. I still remember the family portrait you had taken for the church directory after I went off to college. You had a big 8x10 of Mom, Dad, Tricia & Beth framed and hung on the wall. I was devastated to NOT be at that picture?! HA! Did I send you the Olan Mills pictures...that forward with captions? They are so funny!! Totally church directory material! :)

I'm ready for the weekend! Just 30 minutes left in my work day and I'm feeling sleepy. I better get up & stretch and accomplish something in these last minutes!

See ya!
