What a fun (fast) week. We had a carnival in the back yard today, with the older children leading the games and activities. They all went to a parade this morning, while I stayed home and started cooking the pork for the delicious BBQ pork recipe from Mom. It is a favorite of ours! We also enjoyed apple pie, watermelon, brats, etc. Probably the same menu as most of you! The weather has been delightful most of the week, never getting higher than 87, and raining only once. We watched the video of Lucy's dance recital. Abby won second place in a mile run and Benjamin ran two miles. The children are all sporting patriotic T-shirts and we are all grateful to live in America.
Happy 4th of July to everyone!

Looks like everyone had a fun family weekend! We just got home from Amber and Don's. What an eventful week! We got there and Justin was in the hospital, went to Kiddieland, the zoo and to Great-Grandma's. Then as we were planning our 4th of July--Kaleb and Brock were playing too rough and Brock's head got split...well, 6 stiches later!!! Then as we were all waking up this morning, Kaleb threw up. Then again on the plane ride home. It has been an eventful week and I do have to say I am glad to be home! We did have a great time with everyone, and can't wait to do it again!

Hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend.
